21st of October, 2005:
- Added two galleries from Viapori land fortification: Cave 21 from Base I and Position 1 from Base XXIII. Both are very exciting places, as the cave from Base I, has been closed since twenties or thirties and the interiors are in a remarkably good condition. Nearly authentic or at least in a condition, which I've not seen in Viapori so far. Position 1 from the Base XXIII then again contains something which I thought was impossible to find. Meaning Russian text or markings in the roof of the shelter...
16th of October, 2005:
- Added many links and also modified a bit the Abandoned Places section. Too many maps started to appear, so I combined all of the galleries from Finland to under one single map, except the galleries from Helsinki & The Surroundings.

7th of August, 2005:
- Krepost Sveaborg (Viapori) section renewed quite thoroughly. First of all I abandoned the normal gallery arrangements and listed the bases and positions, based to the inventories made in Helsinki and in Espoo by Sirkku Laine. The base numbers and especially the position numbers were compared and completed when necessary, by using the great web site of: http://www.novision.fi/viapori/. Secondly I made a new map, which shows the complete fortification, including the sea front and the field fortifications of 1914. All of this was made, as I have now a bit easier task of keeping a track the places where I've visited. Also a one new wallpaper added, Wallpaper 20.

19th of June, 2005:
- Two new galleries added to the Southern Finland & The Surroundings section: Cowshed Ruins In Selki & Power Transformer In Nummenpää.
18th of June, 2005:
- As people are direct linking pictures from this site to a different forums etc, I've started to add a script to the pages, to prevent people using the right mouse button, to create the direct link. I know it doesn't prevent direct linking fully, but at least it makes it a bit more harder and might discourage many people from direct linking. In any case, I have to try to do something, as there's about a billion Chinese currently direct linking the pictures straight to their forums. You can just imagine, how much bandwidth that consumes...
5th of June, 2005:
- Pictures from the Pirita Abbey Ruins uploaded.
28th of May, 2005:

- One of my long time dreams to visit, finally visited: Soviet Military Airfield Of Kiltsi
19th of March, 2005:
- As a result of my internet connection being down for a month or so, I've had plenty of time to update the site, so here comes the quite long list:
- New German pictures, including a book about the Kriegsmarine
- A new exploration in the Abandoned Places gallery
- Old postcards added to the Auschwitz and Auschwitz - Birkenau galleries. (Both locations contains the same postcards)
- Plus many other small updates, that I don't even start to bother to list here.
13th of February, 2005:
- 53 new pictures added to the Germany section. 13th of February also marks the 60th anniversary of the bombing of Dresden. So, you are welcome to check how the city looked at the turn of the century.
8th of February, 2005:
- I was forced to place the following paragraph to the history section of the Silent Wall:
THIS IS NOT A NAZI SITE
I'M NOT A NAZI NOR A SUPPORTER OF THAT IDEOLOGY
I CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONTENT OF THE SITES THAT LINK TO THE
PICTURES
THIS IS A NON-POLITICAL SITE DEDICATED TO THE DARKEST PERIOD IN THE GERMAN
HISTORY
- I think it's stupid, but what else I'm going to do, after finding out, that it seems that Google has censored my site from the search results. I cannot of course prove it without a doubt, but with basic search words which so far have found my site, you cannot find Silent Wall anymore. I cannot think any other reason, than the Adolf Hitler pictures, that are on my site. If that is the case, I take it as a personal insult and a prove, that who ever was behind the decision, doesn't know me at all. Did you even bother to look at the Auschwitz pictures, or read my thoughts from the writings section? Did you? Oh yes, and by the way, I'm again spending my next summer in Poland, trying to visit each and every concentration camp, that there is inside the present day Polish borders.
6th of February, 2005:
- 57 new pictures added to the German history section. Mostly taken from the Signal magazine and from a Swedish language propaganda magazine: Tysk Revy. I also removed the Contributors list from the History section, as it didn't serve no real purpose. In any case, I thank Paal Waland, Jesse, Darko and Hannu Nummela, for providing additional information or pictures for the history section of Silent Wall. I also modified the link list a bit, or actually deleted the old lists and combined everything together and divided the sites in different subjects. Perhaps a better way, than the old system, of separate link lists for certain interests.
30th of January, 2005:
- 105 new pictures added to the German history section. More to come...

One new wallpaper also added, wallpaper number 17. 16th of December, 2004:

- Another lot of pictures added to the German section, this time 41 new pictures. Most of them are taken from the old magazines, so the picture quality is not that good.

- Four new articles uploaded to the abandoned places section and also the text in the introduction part of the abandoned section and the Viapori section, modified a bit.

- Location of four different pictures in Germany section corrected. The pictures that were stated to show the Berghof in Obersalzberg seemed to be false. The actual location of those pictures is few hours drive to west from Obersalzberg and the pictures are showing the rest and relaxation center for the SS. So the correct place is Bayrischzell and namely, the Sudelfeld area, which is few kilometers from Bayrischzell.

The last link buttons caused problems in almost every other browser, than in IE. Just please don't tell me if these don't work... Also the headlines are now just ordinary .jpg files.
