Trotting Track Of Hyrylä, Picture 1

- I found this old and abandoned trotting track through a newspaper article. Of course my first thought was that, how are you going to photograph abandoned trotting track, but the place actually turned out to be more interesting than I had thought. There are few buildings still standing and a lot of small details around, so this place was worth-while to visit.

- Trotting Track Of Hyrylä was built in the twenties and it was in use for almost seventy years. The last race was held here in 1990. At the moment the area is used for dumping excess ground, leaves and branches to the large field.

- There is also a lot of sand around, almost felt like I would have come to Sahara. The result of this Sahara like field is, that many of the local people seem to come here and collect the sand for their own purposes. There were few cars in the distance, collection sand to their trailer. Of course these people saw me entering the buildings and so on, but how could have they done anything to prevent me, as they were not in a legal visit themselves?

- This is what the place looks from the outside. The fence continues all around the place, meaning that there must be a few kilometers of this fence. What would be a better place to put some graffiti, than a never ending fence?

- This is what I mean by Sahara. Damn that it was hot, while walking through this field. Sun burning you freely, as there is no shadow anywhere.
