Semi-Detached House In Jokela, Picture 1- This little town of Jokela, seems to be a close to heaven, when it comes to abandoned buildings. I noticed this building, while visiting Jokela few weeks ago. You cannot miss the silhouette of this building, peeking in the distance, with it's broken windows.

- The house itself was interesting from the inside and there were some signs that either someone has lived here only few years ago, or then some hobos live here regularly. Either way, there seems to be all kind of construction material lying on the yard, suggesting that someone is planning to renovate this building, but I didn't see much evidence inside of the building to support this.

- Located in the middle of residential area, there is a chance that someone will notice that you are going into the building. From the second floor windows, you can actually watch people walking in the street and be relatively safe, because who would suspect that someone is looking them from an abandoned building?

- This is a wooden building and the risk that it's rotten completely, is a real one. All of the Urban Exploration sites that I know, tell that you should avoid wooden buildings, because they could collapse or you could fall through the floor to the basement. This is true, but if I want to pursue this hobby, in this country, I really don't have choices. Many of our abandoned buildings are at least partly build from wood and there are not many buildings from which to pick your exploration targets. It's better to move slowly in wooden buildings and constantly checking how the floor carries your weight and does it keep any suspicious noise...

- These were lying on the yard. Methylene Chloride is used to remove paint from buildings. There are not very much studies around, how it affects nature and people, but it may cause cancer...

- Funny house, as it has two identical apartments and the only passage between the two apartments, goes through the attic.. or through the front door which is locked. I went through the attic, to the other side of the house and was ready to leave the place as I had seen everything I wanted. I tried to find a way out, but of course there were none. I had to walk back to the attic and then to the other side of the building, so I could exit.
