- Railway station of Pukinmäki, one of the places I've been aware of for a long time, but still never bothered to and look it a bit closer as it shows so insignificant. In a sense, it insignificant at least when looking at it's size. It's just a small building, not much bigger than ordinary house. But it's cultural and architectural history is not that insignificant.

- It's one of the three other railway stations, all of them which were build in the thirties. The other three stations were located in Malmi, Puistola and in Tapanila...all of those three are demolished years ago. So the importance of the station in Pukinmäki comes from the fact, that it's the last one standing and now due to the money issues like always, it will be gone also in the near future. Although there are plans to save the place, what happens behind the newspaper articles is quite interesting.

- While I was photographing a man from nearby office building came to talk with me and told some interesting information. He has a friend in the city museum office and it seems, that the museum office hasn't even made any architectural drawings from the place. So despite the fact that everyone is speaking strongly about saving the place, nothing hasn't been done in fact. Without the architectural drawings, the place cannot be build over again if it's demolished. Also, there's been some discussion about relocating the building to some other place and the city has even agreed to give it away for free, but so far no one hasn't got the money to move it away.

- So call me a cynical bastard, but it will be gone for good, quite soon. Perhaps it's value will be noticed years after it's gone. 

- There it is, the whole building. Like I said, judging from the size, it looks insignificant, but when thinking about the history, well...
