- When looking this place from the inside, sort of, it seems that how did this place defend from anything, as you can't seen anything from the high walls. However, this is sort of an yard for the fort, with doors and corridors leading to the different sections of the fort. Of course, with 42cm shells landing to the fort, it might have been a bit too unhealthy to stand here...

- The jungle starting in the distance. The main defensive positions are located on the other side of these high walls.

- Finally inside... I must say that when we finally got actually inside of the fort, I think my jaw dropped to the floor or at least I walked few moments with my mouth open (concluding from the amount of dust in my mouth). The feeling of actually being inside of one of the forts, which can be found from history books, made a deep impact on me. This is how history class should be handled, you can read all the books you want, but seeing and feeling the place yourself, will give you a much better insight to the events. After walking through the corridors for an hour or so, I must say that I'm not envy of those who had to endure the bombardment. The noise, dust, smoke and gas...chaos...
