Concrete Factory Of Parma Betonila, Picture 1- A proof that someone actually reads and browses these pages...nice to know, as this is one of those locations that most likely I would have missed, if it wouldn't have been a tip from a helpful reader. Vantaa is a bit off from the places, where I usually walk and hang around. I'm most confident, that this is not the only great location, that the city keeps inside, after all, there's a lot of industry along the Kehä III freeway. But this is a start at least...

- A concrete factory, meaning a lot of grey dust around, to the point where my fiancé threaten me to not to take me to the car, after our second trip to the place, as I was covered in the grey dust, after roaming around the place, trying to get a few good shots, which I of course cannot do so, that I would not get myself all dirty.

- We made two trips to the place, like stated above. The place is not that large, that we couldn't have handled it with just one trip, but as we started to approach the place during our first trip, we started to hear clear sounds of someone working inside the biggest hall. Hammers banging and the sighing sound coming from a spray can led us first to think, that there's just some youth inside of the factory, painting graffiti's and destroying the place, but when I peeked into the place, I noticed two young fellows, fixing a car.

- To us it seemed a very strange, that someone would fix his car in an abandoned factory hall on a Sunday morning, so we decided to concentrate to the second hall on our first trip and come back on a later date and hope, that there would be no other persons doing anything inside or near of the factory. The first trip also was a bit nerve racking, as we constantly tried to avoid the people in the second hall from seeing us, no need to take any stupid risk like going to talk with them and asking: "Hey, is that your car or..."...especially after finding some bullets from the place...

- Interesting side note from this place is, that the music video of one of those Idol's finalists, was filmed here. Do not ask the name of that guy, but it certainly wasn't that ethereal, syrupy and dreadfully cute guy...

- Looking the place from the outside, fooled us to think that the place is just absolutely huge, but in reality even when it looks like a huge complex, there's just the two factory halls, with a few corridors leading out from the halls, to the office areas. Still, the place contained some very nice details, which above all are those two towers that can be seen in the picture.
