- The area consists from nearly thirty buildings and I must say that this is some sort of a wet dream for an urban explorer here in Finland, that is if you just could get in... - If you want to check the area yourself, I would advise you to do it quickly, preferably during this summer, as I don't believe that there is anything left to see in the summer of 2004. They are transforming the hospital area into a residential area. Building apartments into those buildings. Actually there is already few buildings, where families live. So you better hurry, if you want to see something else than nice gardens and clotheshorses around. - I just don't get it, that who the hell would like to live in an old mental hospital? I mean you cannot make a mistake when you arrive here, that the area has been a hospital. You cannot disguise that with gardens and other stuff. - Other thing is, that this place must be quite unique in Europe and now they are destroying it. I would have rather liked to see it preserved and to honor the memory of the patients that lived here. Well, of course the patients didn't produce any money, but this place certainly is now forging money, as those apartments are not very cheap...

- Ah, tennis again. Great game, too bad that this field is also in a horrible condition. |
|
- This whole place is like a small town, with streets going between the buildings. And to increase that impression, there is a working police station in the middle of the hospital area.
