- We were ending our exploration on the airfield, when we stumbled to these ruins. Immediately both of us, me and my fiancé noticed that the construction was completely different from the airfield buildings. However we didn't thought that these would have been the ruins of the Kiltsi manor house, as the map that we had, showed that the location of these ruins should be a bit further away from the airfield. I quickly took few photos from the ruins and we went back to the hotel. - When we later came to search for the ruins from the area that the map indicated, we couldn't find any. The only solution is, that the map is incorrect and that these really are the Kiltsi manor house ruins, found from a different place than the map pointed out. - I must admit, that I do not know a thing about the history of this manor ruins. The internet sources doesn't say a thing about these and the locals doesn't seem to know nothing either. It's really no wonder, as the place itself is a quite modest looking and there are many other more beautiful ruins in Estonia than this one. Also, the Baltic states are full of different manor ruins and I guess that writing a brief history from all of those, is nearly an impossible task. - Still, it would have been nice to know something about the place, so I will be gladly accepting all information that anyone can give me about the place.

- Most likely the main entrance to the manor. However the ceiling has collapsed a long time ago and it's impossible to get inside the manor. Like I said, from this picture you can clearly see, that the construction is completely different from the airfield buildings. Much more decorative and not full of "Soviet realism". |
