- One of the bunkers in the area. This one was the biggest of them all and located strangely in the middle of the runway and the taxing runway. What also strike me as a strange feature, was that there really was not much protection in between of the buildings and the runway. I mean that if this airfield would have been really used someday in combat, any damaged aircraft could have easily crashed into the buildings. Although, perhaps this whole place would have been consumed by a mushroom cloud...

- The bunkers were also the only place which were still in a good shape, with quite a many authentic equipment and devices around. Also the original Russian texts were still in place, saying who knows what? It's strange to think, that fifteen years ago, if I would have walked here with my camera like this, I certainly would have not seen home anymore. Although, I would have been shot at the gates already, when trying to enter the area.
