NOTE: About three hundred of these small minesweepers were build during the war. Their main tasks were to operate in the shallow waters, near the coastline. Armed lightly, the ships took heavy losses during the war, while performing several other duties besides minesweeping, like: Convoy duties, escorting U-boats and on rescue missions.
