- Vegetation the old enemy of old fortifications is here also taking over. It's also interesting to note, that the architecture of the fortifications in Poland, seems to be following a similar pattern. The fort's in Krakow were build by the Austro-Hungary and this Citadel was build by the Russians. Still, the small details look exactly the same. |

| - Outside of the main walls goes a nice
path which follows the walls in some parts. Still in some areas, houses
have been built right next to the walls. In the distance is the memorial
for the Polish heroes, who were executed there in front of a 30 000
people in 1864.
