- The dominant hill in the area has been an obvious place to construct fortifications during the year 1915. The positions for this base were added to the construction plan in April 1915. Unfortunately as the hill is so dominant in the area and offers an nearly isolated position from rest of the houses in the area, along with an excellent view to quite a far away, the hill today has been build full to houses. - What this means is that this nearly invincible defensive position has been mostly destroyed. I say invincible, because one side of the hill is a vertical rock and nothing else. No attacker would have been able to beat that obstacle and that obstacle is located on the side of the most likely direction of the attack. - The Fort has contained three caves, but there is no traces from those anymore. Most likely the entrances to the caves have been destroyed during the construction of this residential area for the rich people. The hill itself might still contain the actual caves inside the hill, but as there's no entrance to those anymore, getting in is impossible. Only a small section from the fortification remains in the North side of the hill. Judging from the remains, the place has been fortified quite effectively, as everything has been reinforced with concrete and there's a machine gun positions pointing even to the background area of the position. - So in total the area which has contained the Positions: 5, 6, 7, 9, 10 and 11 along with the position 8 which contained two caves, only some remnants from the position 4 remains today. For some reason the inventory does show the position 5, but doesn't tell anything about the fate of the position. Still, it has been located so close to the houses that there's nothing remaining from it today. I also walked around the hill, trying to find even some slight traces from the positions and caves which has been marked as destroyed, but couldn't really find anything anymore. - Those are now part of the history...as is my trusted Minolta Dimage 7i camera, which terminated it's contract during the trip to this place.

- Part of the trench line which still remains. It has offered an excellent field of fire for the rifle men, which could have aimed their rifles against the attacker, which would have been located below the hill. |

- Type A machine gun position, which for some reason would seem to be a lot bigger than a standard Type A position. Still the round shape of the position is so easy to recognize, that I'm very confident that I haven't made a mistake in identifying this one. The walls of it are much higher from a standard Type A position. |
