- There's a rather wide trench or a road leading to the cave. The entrance is facing away from the possible combat-zone. The old cannon road has been connected from the cave, to the different batteries of the Base XXI. Today parts of the cannon roads, are the jogging paths of the Oulunkylä Sports Park.

- There's a trenches leading away from the cave and to the possible combat-zone. I would somehow suspect, that at least this side (picture facing towards south), shown in the picture would have contained stairs, as it's a very steep climb out from the cave. The trench on the other side, is much more flat and only rises slowly on top of the hill.

- Part of the trench line, reinforced with stones and partly with concrete. It has survived quite well, but many of the stones have gotten loosen and finally the walls of the trenches have collapsed.

- View towards the enemy, which never came. The trench line is going in the foreground of the picture. Gives you a good idea, how good the view has been from the position and is still, even when the city has changed a lot from the days of 1915. The picture is facing towards north/north-west.

- Remains from a badly damaged machine gun position. The thing that is giving it away as a machine gun position, is that round piece of concrete, found from the left side of the picture. The machine gun has been facing towards west.
