- This is the second position from the rather weak base number XV. The distance from this position to the position number 1 from base XV is somewhere around 1 kilometer. General feeling from this position was, that nearly a hundred years ago, it was the more heavily fortified area from these two positions.

- Even today this position has survived much better from these two. Looking at how the fortifications have been build to this hill, gives a clear impression that this was suppose to stop any enemy coming through the position 1. Today you can observe at least twelve different firing positions pointing towards the position 1 and to it's flanks.

- What is sad is that many of the trenches and other defensive structures are badly damaged as a result of the nearby horse stable. The stable itself has not damaged anything, but people who ride with the horses.

- Many of the trenches which has been build straight to the ground and not reinforced with stones or concrete, are badly worn out as a result that people have used the area as a horseracing track or something similar. This is actually the first place where I have been able to witness the thing that other people who are interested about Krepost Sveaborg, are so worried about. Meaning of course the fact that the trenches and other structures will worn out and erosion will intensify because people walk in the defensive structures. Here this worry is multiplied with two, as the result from horses is so severe.

- The above thing has been also noted in the official inventory, but since it was done in 1995, nothing hasn't been done to stop people riding in the area and I guess not much will be done in the future either. The area itself where horses haven't roamed, is a complete jungle. Walking in some of the trenches felt like being in a rain forest, as bushes and trees have formed a "roof" on top of the trench line. You'll see what I mean when you look at the pictures...

- Remains from a open Type A machine gun position. It's in a relatively good condition and located a bit off from the nearby path. The ammunition storage depression is visible on the left wall.

- Welcome to the jungle...the trench wall is located on the right side...
