Base V: Position 21 & Cave 22, Picture 1- This area consisted almost only from trenches. There has been more bunkers, but in the fifties city decided to build a ski jumping tower on top of them. So many of the bunkers are destroyed and so is the ski jumping tower now also. How typical is that?

- Also the local residents are doing their best to destroy what's left, by filling the shelter rooms and bunkers that are left, with dead leaves and with other garbage, like rotten apples. Great solution actually, as this way they don't have to pay any payment for refuse disposal.

- While looking for Viapori, good advice is to search for a high hill and head out that way, you will probably find something. That's what I did near Vartiokylä while heading for home.

- Near a residential area, full of appartment houses, I found a small wooden area and yes there were trenches, concrete walls peeking from the ground. Someone had filled all the trenches and shelter rooms with mould.

- I can understand that no one wants their kids falling five meters down to some trench, but there are things called fence. But it's cheaper to just shovel everything into these stupid things that are making the residential area ugly and highly dangerous...

- Little squirrel came behind this birch and started to stare at me. It wasn't afraid of me at all and seemed to think that what the hell is this person doing here? But I guess it was shy also, because when I started to aim my camera towards him, he decided to climb quickly higher and stare me from there, while eating. How rude is that?

- At this picture, I'm standing in the bottom. I'm not the tallest person around, but I'm no midget either, so this trench is quite deep. On the right side you can see that little platform. That's where the soldiers would stand and aim their rifles towards the enemy.
