- RENTAL APARTMENT HOUSES ARE FACING AN DEMOLITION VERDICT

- Two rental apartment buildings are facing an demolition in Ruovesi, because there is no use for these buildings. The demolition job will probably start within few weeks. The government residence fund has granted a permission for the demolition and contract offers have been received. The director from the Sato-corporation, which owns these buildings, estimated that the buildings will be demolished before the winter.

- These two buildings are located in the population center of Jäminkipohja, near the village of Ruovesi, at the intersection of main road 66 and the highway leading to Teisko at Tampere. The distance to Tampere from Jäminkipohja is approximately 70 kilometers.

- The buildings have two and three floors and they were built in 1978 - 1979 from a concrete elements. Together these buildings keep inside 24 apartments and the total amount of square meter area is 1 310.

- Technically the buildings are in a good condition, although some signs of decay can be seen. Other one of these buildings have been empty for over a year and the other one has been empty for a little over six months. The buildings were built to serve as a job-related apartments for the Saw of Pohja.

NOTES: I never had the time to visit this place and so these two buildings are now gone for good.
